Ylva Haru is a Finnish singer-songwriter and producer whose sound is a combination of sensitivity, rich guitars and vocal harmonies, strong melodies, and nuanced rhythms combined with thoughtful, poetic lyrics.
The artist’s story originates from Klovharu, Tove Jansson’s cottage island, where after visiting, the songwriter heard the sea singing in the autumn of 2012. With this magical experience, the artist name Ylva Haru was born, which has been heard in the form of released songs since 2016.
In her music and song arrangements, the songwriter draws inspiration from nature, other art, architecture, visuality, spirituality, mysticism, books, stories, and environments that inspire and soothe creativity. She is at her best in perceiving the smallest nuances, emotions, and details and putting them into words.
The new single ”Sydän auki,” released in November 2025, will be the first song to introduce the mood of the upcoming album ”Kuiskaa mulle,” produced by Ylva Haru, scheduled for release in January 2026.
The album will be published through the artist’s own label, Lotta Roots.
