ANRI is a Japanese singer, songwriter, composer and producer whose music has connected generations of listeners for more than four decades.

She made her debut in 1978 with “Olivia wo Kikinagara” and rose to become one of the defining voices of Japanese pop through songs including “CAT’S EYE,” “Kanashimi ga Tomaranai (I CAN’T STOP THE LONELINESS),” and “SUMMER CANDLES.”

Across the 1980s and beyond, ANRI developed a distinctive sound spanning pop, city pop, AOR, funk, R&B and dance music. Albums such as TIMELY!! and the extensive catalog that followed brought together sophisticated songwriting, arrangements and grooves created with leading musicians and producers in Japan and the United States.

Today, that catalog continues to reach new generations around the world through streaming, YouTube and social media. This renewed global audience is also reflected in her live career. In 2026, ANRI returned to the United States for ANRI LIVE 2026 U.S.A TIMELY!!, performing in New York and Los Angeles. The originally announced shows sold out immediately, leading to an additional Los Angeles performance.
