Desmond Kwesi Blackmore known in showbiz circles as D-Black is a multiple award winning Ghanaian artist / entrepreneur.
Born on the 12th of January. D-Black has taken his craft and hiphop- Afrobeats fusion style of music internationally and has performed all over the world.
The BET Awards nominated artist has collaborated with some of Africa’s most prolific acts. D-Black has had an incredible career spanning almost a decade. Winning 29 Awards at the MTV’s, VGMA’s, Channel O’s and more during this period, the Ghana Bwoy is set to drop his 6th body of work titled The ‘Ghanaian Visa’ .
- GROWING UP
In 2009 D-Black kicked off his career as an independent artist in the group “D-Black & Kwaku t” releasing a group album ‘Target Practice’. In 2010 D-Black & his rap partner both went solo. With 4 albums (Music, Love and Life, The Revelation, Lightwork, Loyalty’ , 1 E.P (Smoke and Mirrors) & 1 mixtape (Hunger & Thirst) under his belt D-Black has solidified his place in the Ghanaian music history books.

With 2 smash singles Enjoyment Minister ft. Stonebwoy& Sheege ft. Gyakie off the Loyalty Album in 2021, winning collaboration of the year at the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards and more, D-Black is currently on a worldwide media tour promoting the just released record ‘Bambalika' featuring KiDi off his upcoming E.P ‘Ghanaian Visa’ .
