DJ Paak (born Paa Kwesi Kwarteng Darko) is a Ghanaian-British DJ based in the United Kingdom, celebrated for his electrifying multi-genre sets and deep musical roots. Inspired early on by a DJ neighbor in the late ’90s and his father, a devoted music collector. Paak’s passion for sound was ignited from a young age.
He has since established himself as one of the UK’s leading urban DJs, effortlessly blending Afro House, Afrobeats, Amapiano, Hip-Hop, Dancehall, and beyond. His skill and relentless work ethic have earned him opportunities to open for top African acts including Mr Eazi, Sarkodie, Stonebwoy, Davido, Kwesi Arthur, King Promise, Kidi, and Wande Coal, among others.
In 2014, DJ Paak rose to prominence as one of Coventry’s best DJs and became one of the most booked talents across the Midlands. He is also the founder of Yebo House, Birmingham’s premier Amapiano and Afrohouse event, known for bringing cutting-edge African electronic music to the heart of the UK.
Beyond the decks, DJ Paak is deeply committed to giving back. Through his radio platform, 9RadioUK, he has led multiple philanthropic efforts, donating and supporting communities and villages across Ghana. His mission is not just to entertain, but to uplift and empower.
