Singer and songwriter Herman Kleinhans was born in Sunland in the Eastern Cape. He has been very passionate about music from an early age and was inspired by his father, who sang and played the guitar when friends came over for a braai.
He rose to prominence when his band ‘’Twee’’ won the Afri-visie song writing competition with their breakout single ‘’Sweer’’. The folk duo released two critically acclaimed studio albums titled ‘’Piekniek vir twee’’ and ‘’Sirkels’’.
Herman has released two solo albums titled ‘’Kamer 4’’ and ‘’Ruite Oop’’ and worked as a composer on television. Apart from touring he owns and operates ‘’Twee vellies’’ in Jeffreys Bay and spends his time writing music in the picturesque town of Patensie in the Eastern Cape.
