A year on from releasing their acclaimed sophomore album Cold Memory which saw high praise from NME, Clash, The Guardian, described as ‘Jade Imagine’s best work yet’, Melbourne / Naarm art-rock band jade imagine share scorching new single in 'Hot Bath' as well as news of a remix from Jay Watson (GUM, Pond, Tame Impala) and Ginoli out March 12.
Before founding jade imagine, McInally had been a stalwart of the indie scene for more than a decade. After signing with Milk! Records, jade imagine’s debut EP What the Fuck Was I Thinking was released in April 2017 which was heralded by Rolling Stone Australia. The band then went on to release their debut album Basic Love in August 2019, receiving Album Of The Week on Triple R Radio (VIC), The Edge Radio (TAS), and Radio Adelaide (SA), alongside glowing reviews from The Australian to The Big Issue, as well as a long-listing for the prestigious AMP Album prize.
Since their first release, jade imagine has secured numerous notable support slots, including shows with 80s royalty The Pretenders (UK), Angel Olsen (US), Benjamin Booker (US), Alvvays (US), Lucy Dacus (US), Stella Donnelly, Julia Jacklin and Phantastic Ferniture. In March 2018 the band travelled to the US to showcase at the prestigious SXSW music conference in Austin, as well as playing key shows in Los Angeles and New York City.
