Joe Armon-Jones is a keyboardist, producer, songwriter and bandleader based in south London. An alumnus of the influential jazz education programme Tomorrow’s Warriors and a founding member of the Mercury Prize-winning <a href="spotify:artist:5BRAUN0yN8557PLRZIr02W" data-name="Ezra Collective">Ezra Collective</a>, his virtuoso piano playing and improvisatory talents have made him a sought-after collaborator, lending his talents to projects spanning jazz, dub, electronic, pop, and hip-hop
Armon-Jones released his first solo album, Starting Today, on <a href="spotify:artist:4fH73bVIwM24QrBqjTrhAA" data-name="Gilles Peterson">Gilles Peterson</a>’s Brownswood Recordings, in 2018, following it up the next year with Turn To Clear View – a sumptuous blend of jazz, funk and rap featuring appearances from <a href="spotify:artist:2RdnkH5txHb9c4vGwq0I31" data-name="Georgia Anne Muldrow">Georgia Anne Muldrow</a> and <a href="spotify:artist:6l7R1jntPahGxwJt7Tky8h" data-name="Obongjayar">Obongjayar</a> that was named one of the best 10 releases of the year in Time magazine.
In 2021 Armon-Jones launched his own record label, Aquarii Records, as an outlet for his solo and collaborative work, which has included 2022’s A Way Back, a speaker-shaking EP made with dubstep pioneer <a href="spotify:artist:0QTEYauMG3DrAVPXCYMseu" data-name="Mala">Mala</a>, and 2023’s Archetype, a club-ready link-up with his long-term creative partner <a href="spotify:artist:1BY3jPCSTYtgNJoqSnxt3f" data-name="Maxwell Owin">Maxwell Owin</a>. In 2025, he embarks on his biggest creative project yet – the two-part opus All The Quiet.
