Jonathan Lee Pratt, professionally known as JZyNO, is the first global artiste out of Liberia. JZyNO launched his professional career in 2019, inspired by Kendrick Lamar through a dream he had in 2013. In 2020, he gained fame in Liberia and became the first new artist to receive five nominations for his song 'Kpan Kpan Me,' which featured his former label mate Teddyride, shortly after releasing the hit single, JZyNO was dropped by his former label, motivating him to thrive as an independent artist from 2020 till date, a journey that has been difficult but he preserved.
He released his first debut EP, The Brown Sugar EP, collaborated with artists like Krymi, Nedy Music, Epixode, and a few others in 2021 and 2022, despite facing delays and struggles as an independent artist.
In early April 2023, JZyNO released his hit single 'Butta My Bread', featuring Lasmid, which accumulated over 200 million streams across all platforms. The song became a chart-topper, entering the US Billboard Top 50 Afrobeats songs and UK Top 20 chart.
It was also played at the NBA finals and during Barcelona’s Champions League opening match against Monaco.
JZyNO teamed up with Kenya’s Willy Paul for a feature on ‘Kuu-Kuu,’ Grammy nominee MattB World for a feature on 'Need Some Wine Remix'
His latest single ‘Go Down’ features American rapper The Game, marking the rapper's first foray into Afrobeats. With this infectious record, JZyNO is poised to make significant waves across the world at large.
