音楽家 イラストレーター。「ハチ」名義でボーカロイド楽曲を発表し群を抜いた実績を残した後、2012年より米津玄師として活動を開始。2018年リリースの「Lemon」は、年間ランキングを2年連続で獲得するなど、日本の音楽史に残る記録を出す。2020年8月にリリースした5thアルバム「STRAY SHEEP」は、200万セールスを突破。同年の年間ランキングでは46冠を達成し、2年連続で年間首位を記録。2022年に発表したTVアニメ「チェンソーマン」のオープニング・テーマ「KICK BACK」は、日本語楽曲としては史上初となる、アメリカレコード協会(RIAA)のプラチナ認定を獲得。2023年には、スタジオジブリ宮﨑駿監督作「君たちはどう生きるか」の主題歌「地球儀」を発表。2024年には、NHK連続テレビ小説「虎に翼」の主題歌「さよーならまたいつか！」などが収録された6thアルバム「LOST CORNER」をリリース。2025年6月、映画『機動戦士Gundam GQuuuuuuX(ジークアクス)』の主題歌「Plazma」を収録したシングル「Plazma / BOW AND ARROW」をリリース。9月には、劇場版『チェンソーマン レゼ篇』主題歌として「IRIS OUT」、エンディング・テーマとして 米津玄師, 宇多田ヒカル「JANE DOE」を書き下ろし、ダブルA面シングル「IRIS OUT / JANE DOE」をリリース。10月、映画『秒速5センチメートル』主題歌として「1991」を書き下ろした。2026年には「米津玄師 2026 TOUR /GHOST」を開催予定。

He released his fifth album, "STRAY SHEEP," in 2020 selling over 2 million copies, and expanded globally with "KICK BACK," in 2022, the first Japanese-language RIAA® platinum certified song. In 2023 marked another milestone with "Chikyugi - Spinning Globe” the theme song for The Boy and the Heron. In 2024 Yonezu unveiled his sixth album, "LOST CORNER.” In 2025, he released “Plazma” in June. In September, he dropped his latest track, “IRIS OUT”, the official theme for the new film CHAINSAW MAN – THE MOVIE: REZE ARC –, and its ending theme "JANE DOE" on 9/22. His new tour, "KENSHI YONEZU 2026 TOUR / GHOST", is set to take place in 2026.
