Moonstar88 is a Filipino pop alternative band celebrated for their emotionally resonant songwriting and melodic guitar-driven sound that has become deeply woven into the OPM landscape. Rising to prominence with their breakthrough hit “Torete,” the band helped define the sound of early 2000s Filipino alternative music and continues to connect with audiences through themes of love, longing, nostalgia, and self-reflection.
