Kojo Kurankye, known in the music fraternity as Ras Kuuku was born on 23 July 1984 in Accra-Ghana, West Africa . He had his Junior High School Education at Dome D.A.J.H.S. He continued his Secondary Education at Nungua Presec were he was the Entertainment Prefect during his time there.
*The first Reggae Artist from Africa to be recognised and acknowledged in the 3G Awards scheme under the category of Excellence in Reggae Music.
* Bass Awards 2014 - song writer of the year, best video( reggae) of the year, reggae song of the year, best reggae artiste of the year
* VGMA2020 - Best reggae / dancehall artiste
Career.
Ras Kuuku initially started His music career as a highlife artiste in a group with his cousin.He later decided to go solo as a reggae / dancehall artiste after being exposed to the rastafarian movement. With determination,hard work and constant practice, He was able to come up with a unique tone which fetched him much attention.He released his debut full-length album, " Nokr3" in 2012 and since then Has consistently produced incredible albums such as , Back 2 Back(2014), Kwame Nkrumah(2020) , 3 3 & 1(2022), just to mention a few.
The Ghanaian reggae/dancehall artiste has so much love on the streets which has gained him a popular name, "Ghetto Youth President.
Raskuku has hinted on the release of his next project, "Eye Ball remix" which features Ghanaian reggae legend Samini which is set to be released with enthrilling visuals.
