Danny Berman aka Red Rack’em is described by Juno Records as ‘one of the most respected figures in UK underground house circles’.
As a producer, he has crafted classics such as ‘Wonky Bassline Disco Banger’, ‘In Love Again’ & ‘How I Program’ which were hammered by everyone from DJ Harvey to Moodymann, Four Tet to The Blessed Madonna and even Elton John.
As a DJ he has RANGE, comfortably playing blazing disco boogie at Pickle Factory in London, deep house at TV Lounge in Detroit or raw swingy techno at Mothers Finest in Berlin. He has toured the world, playing in the USA, Australia, India and Asia at choice clubs like Tag in Chengdu, Mad Racket in Sydney and Smart Bar in Chicago.
He’s also been a much loved broadcaster for SWU FM, Rinse FM, WWFM & NTS with guest spots on BBC Radio 1 for Pete Tong, Mistajam & Gilles Peterson.
After 8 years in Berlin, Danny returned to the UK just before the pandemic. He put the lockdowns to good use, setting up his ‘How I Program’ Music Producer Community to support and mentor other artists, hosting monthly masterclasses from producers like Nikki Nair, Ciel, Adam Pits and Rick Wade.
The hotly anticipated ‘Italo Disco Banger’ is about to drop with Gerd Janson commenting ‘Sounds Like A Hit!!’
For the last 4 years, he’s also been perfecting the art of open to close at his ‘Absolute Body Control’ parties in Bristol, where he plays all night long with people traveling from across the UK to attend these high energy, roadblock events.
