British singer, songwriter, and producer Reuben Hollebon writes literate, atmospheric indie folk songs with undercurrents of tension. A native of Norfolk, Hollebon didn't pick up the guitar until the age of 18, though music would soon become his primary focus. While at university studying music and audio, he fell into a job as studio engineer for British-Indian composer Nitin Sawhney, where he cut his teeth on a variety of projects from orchestral sessions to soundtrack work. He also began recording his own folk-based material in off-hours, developing a unique sound that recalled elements of artists like Elliott Smith, the National, and Bon Iver. Hollebon continued to work as a producer for other acts while slowly assembling his own album. After signing with American indie Bright Antenna, he released his debut, Terminal Nostalgia, in 2016. ~ Timothy Monger, Rovi
