Sleep Party People, the brainchild of Danish multi-instrumentalist Brian Batz, began as a one-man home recording project in 2008. Since then, Sleep Party People has released several critically-acclaimed albums, and signed with Joyful Noise in 2017.

Sleep Party People’s latest is 'Heap of Ashes', a dive into the darker edges of orchestral pop. Influenced by primarily Bulgarian choral music, the worn-out sound of old tape, and 21st century experimental composition, the album exposes every facet, every moment, and every wound, finding beauty even when the last glow of hope looks like it’s ready to fade into the ashes. Heap of Ashes includes contributions from Halvcirkel, GNOM, and Sound of Ceres’ k Hover.
