Variant Sea are a Dublin/Reykjavik based duo made up of pianist Luke Duffy and guitarist Shell Dooley.
Formed in 2015, Variant Sea fuse classical, ambient and post-rock styles to create their own unique atmospheric and filmic sound. The duo are based in two cities and are heavily influenced by the landscapes and scenery surrounding them. Following the release of their debut EP Season of Mists in 2015, they continued to experiment with their sound which produced on their next records Fable and Selene. Variant Sea released their first album Journey in November 2022.
