Wayne's So Sad is a five-piece rock band based in Taipei. Formed in 2008, their earlier works featured straightforward punk. Wayne's So Sad best illustrates “the depressed generation” as they express the younger generation’s sadness, upset, and rebellion in their songs.
In 2017, they released the album 《Sometimes, I Still Wanna Be Great》. In 2019, a new album titled 《The Art of Embarrassment》 was released. After this, the band is no longer confined by straightforward punk music; instead, their music became more introversive and ambiguous in terms of arrangement, lyrics, and music composition, while their use of music to depict their profound observation on life events remains unchanged. 《The Art of Embarrassment》 was a nominee for Best Band at the 33rd Golden Melody Awards. The same year, They were nominated for multiple awards and won Best Rock Album at 11th Golden Indie Music Awards.
In 2023. 《Sincerely, me》was released. The entire album is a huge love story, and the melodies are with more mature arrangements and techniques. This album was nominated for all the rock categories of the Golden Indie Music Awards, and Album of the Year 2024.
