Bones & Beeker are a Minneapolis-based duo with a pedigree in both indie rock and underground rap; their warm, wistful songs combine smooth soul-pop vocals with boom-bap production sensibilities, as well as a hint of Latin flavor. The duo consists of vocalist/guitarist <a href="spotify:artist:1NlfNuVbIeGVsfLvOY1z1j">Anthony Newes</a> and producer/DJ <a href="spotify:artist:0CYhPbeLjCnAjQZ2UqRU2g">BK-One</a> (<a href="spotify:artist:0CYhPbeLjCnAjQZ2UqRU2g">Brendan Kelly</a>), known for his work with <a href="spotify:artist:6CsleyOZtyt16saX8WhzDx">Brother Ali</a> and Benzilla on <a href="spotify:search:label%3A%22Rhymesayers+Entertainment%22">Rhymesayers Entertainment</a>, and their music often includes contributions by bassist Chris Bierden (<a href="spotify:artist:34vLhockmYhf3LgznwyNaQ">Poliça</a>) and guitarist Nate Collis (<a href="spotify:artist:1GAS0rb4L8VTPvizAx2O9J">Atmosphere</a>). Longtime friends, the duo had fused their disparate influences into musical collaborations for years before settling on the band name Bones & Beeker in 2013.
