One of the greatest and most unique duos of of all time, The Derevolutions exist in their own sonic universe. An alternate timeline where they could very well be considered one of the best recording artists in the world if not for their reclusiveness, independence, and reluctance to follow trends. You could go as far to say they’re like the The Beatles of outsider art. Despite that, their music has been used in many commercials, tv shows, movies and video games ranging from Apple to Netflix/HBO to EA Games and many more.
Originally the solo brainchild of producer/songwriter Brett Boucher, he met his future partner and band mate Ana Karina at a show and they immediately began recording their self-titled debut album at home. Since then they’ve created 6 albums, and a kid, including their quintessential 2024 release Reinvent the Wheel. They’ve never worked with a record label and are entirely DIY/self taught at writing, playing, recording, sampling and producing everything themselves, which is how they maintain their innovative and singular sound. The majority of the bands instruments and arrangements are composed by synthesizing and sampling their own voices.
