Hildur is a songwriter and producer from Iceland.
Her debut album, Afturábak (e. Backwards), released January 1st, 2025 is a multi-dimensional, heartfelt, nostalgic and emotional journey through a vivid indie-electronic soundscape.
After starting her music journey as a teenager in the indie band <a href="spotify:artist:3H5JhEkJ3IKuNT1elqCxQ4" data-name="Rökkurró">Rökkurró</a>, as the singer and cellist, touring around Europe and touching listeners with her ethereal voice, she then took a U-turn into world of pop. Releasing her first solo single <a href="spotify:album:3edhLMn0FINGUEb9tCrWn6" data-name="I'll Walk With You">I'll Walk With You</a> in 2016 - she instantly hit the top of the Icelandic radio charts and received the Icelandic Music Awards for pop song of the year, so her pop career started with a bang. Along with releasing 2 EP's, <a href="spotify:album:6hnYCL2SE3QYGdIlzumfjc" data-name="Heart to Heart">Heart to Heart</a> and <a href="spotify:album:4GpqJJvbsKfnKke65FIcj5" data-name="Intuition">Intuition</a> (featuring the international hit <a href="spotify:track:5pooY1wIrQ3HzNlEb731ba" data-name="Picture Perfect">Picture Perfect</a>), she also started an international career of songwriting for other artists and then moving into production as well, having recently been producing for various artists in Iceland. Hildur is a powerhouse when it comes to catchy melodies, thoughtful and honest lyrics and clever production. Hildur is also known for having been a force in empowering other female artists along her journey.
