Janne Schra is a multidisciplinary artist from Amsterdam, celebrated for her work as a singer, songwriter, and painter. She first gained international recognition as the frontwoman of Room Eleven , earning multiple gold and platinum records and performing at major festivals—including Montreal Jazz—as well as in cities like Johannesburg and Tokyo.
Since launching her solo career in 2010, Schra has released several acclaimed albums and, in 2023, won the Edison Jazz Award with her band DeVogels. Her work is defined by a wide range of collaborations—with artists such as M. Ward and Benny Sings, and with several orchestras.
Her forthcoming album, slated for release in fall 2025, was co-written with guitarist Laurens Radstake and recorded in Paris with producer Albin de la Simone and drummer Raphaël Chassin (Nouvelle Vague).
