Avant-garde musician, composer and producer; at the forefront of Spain’s experimental music scene since the late 1970s, he is an imaginative and subtle guitar player and his compositions manifest a unique form of musical hypnosis.
His tireless activity covers a broad spectrum of music, sound art and other disciplines, where the interrelation with the plastic arts and poetry occupy a prominent place.
As well as an experimental artist, Suso is also a prolific producer. He has produced more than 100 records with Spain’s most singular popular musicians, and he has played and collaborate with a number of luminary electronic and world music artists such as Steve Roach, Jorge Reyes, Salif Keita, Michael Brook, Stephan Micus, Jan Bang, Christian Fennesz, Arve Henriksen, Guo Yue, Robert Rich, Hans-Joachim Roedelius, Carles Santos, Diego Vasallo, Wagner Tiso, Roger Wolfe, Gigi Masin, Michal Turtle, Suzanne Kraft..
He has also been member of Orquesta de las Nubes, Suspended Memories and Trash of Dreams.
Saiz has released more than 20 solo albums; recently with Dutch record label Music From Memory: “Odisea” (2016) a compilation of his early solo works and unreleased tracks, “Rainworks” (2017) and “Nothing Is Objective” (2019).
