Jude Lemfani Abaga, professionally known as M.I Abaga, is a pioneering force in African hip-hop. He broke into mainstream success with his debut album Talk About It (2008), which sold over 30,000 copies in 30 minutes—a historic feat in Nigerian music. His follow-up, MI2, remains Nigeria’s best-selling hip-hop album, solidifying his legacy as one of the continent’s most commercially successful rappers.

Known for his punchline-heavy delivery and genre-blending sound, M.I has consistently evolved—mentoring emerging artists and experimenting with new styles.
